Option I: Use Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is unaffected by the QuickTime issue.
Option II: Install the Windows Media Player Plug-in
To install the Firefox Plug-In for Windows Media Player, please visit
http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx and follow the installation instructions. This Plug-In can also be used with
Opera,
Safari and
SeaMonkey.
To use the Windows Media Player 11 plug-in with
SeaMonkey or
Opera, copy np-mswmp.dll to your browser plug-in folder. Google Chrome does not use the Windows Media Player plug-in, it uses the ActiveX control instead and is unaffected. Additional information and test pages for the plug-in can be found at
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows.html
Option III: Downgrade QuickTime
Using the Add/Remove Programs functionality remove QuickTime 7.6.6 from your system. You can then download and install the previous QuickTime version from the Apple support web site at
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL26. Please be aware that this version of QuickTime is not compatible with the latest version of other programs including the latest version of iTunes.
