 Steve Samson has almost 20 years of experience teaching software applications, and has spent the past 10 years specializing in Adobe applications. In that time he's taught hundreds of classes and seminars on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Office applications and other productivity software. Past clients include Adobe Systems, Bank of America, McDonnell-Douglas, Aetna and the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Steve has also served as a consultant and presentation coach for Adobe Systems' annual Tech Summit, a gathering of engineers and other technical personnel from all over the world.
Before returning to teaching and writing independently, Steve worked at Adobe as a Senior Technical Writer and Senior Training Specialist for Adobe Systems, a Senior Instructor for Catapult Software Training, and a Manager of Technical Documentation for MetaTools (a developer of plug-ins for Photoshop and other Adobe applications).
Steve is also the author or co-author of many books on a wide variety of software applications, including Teach Yourself Adobe Creative Suite All-in-One (Sams Publishing); PhotoDeluxe 2 Visual QuickStart Guide, ACT! 2.0 Visual QuickStart Guide and The Macintosh Bible, Fifth Edition (Peachpit Press); Illustrator 7 Complete and Photoshop 4 Complete (Hayden Books); and Kai's Power Tools Studio Secrets (IDG Books). He was the technical editor of the Illustrator 8 Bible (IDG Books), and a writer and editor for Acrobat Messenger online help, the Photoshop 5.5 software manual and Photoshop 5.5 Classroom in a Book (Adobe Press).
